NEW YORK CITY — New York City unveiled new seating and dressing table options for its leather outlets and outlet mall stores.
The new offerings include a leather dressing table with a large leather stand and a wooden floor with a leather bench, along with a wooden stand with a wood floor and leather bench.
The new options will be available at Macy’s, H&M, Gap, Louis Vuitton and other retailers.
The leather outlets have long been a symbol of the city’s cultural heritage.
The original leather outlets were opened in New York’s Times Square in the 1930s and the outlets have been a popular destination for artists and fashionistas alike.
In recent years, Macy’s and H&M have phased out leather outlets, as they began replacing them with online sales.
Gap has been working with leather producers to transition to online sales for several years.
A statement from Macy’s said the new offerings will be in the stores starting Tuesday.
