A Nike AirMax 350 review by a consumer watchdog group has found that the sneakers do not have proper air conditioning, a common complaint among athletes and other athletes who use them.
The Nike AirMAX 350 review, conducted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), said in its report that the sneaker does not have an “air compressor that is designed to allow it to cool down quickly enough to prevent the sneakers from overheating and causing burns.”
It also noted that the shoes do not come with a temperature sensor that measures temperature and humidity, which the CPSC said is required by law.
In a statement provided to ABC News, Nike said it is “committed to creating products that are both fashionable and eco-friendly.”
“In addition to using environmentally-friendly materials, we are continually updating the AirMax to ensure it delivers the performance and performance benefits of today’s sneakers while remaining lightweight and comfortable,” the statement said.
“We believe that the Air Max’s performance and comfort will only improve as more innovative technologies and materials are developed.”
