LeBron James had a lot of fun on Sunday at the Cleveland Cavaliers practice facility, even though he was reportedly not invited.
James, who is in the midst of a three-game suspension for violating the league’s drug policy, was reportedly allowed to go to the Cavs facility for an early morning workout, according to a report by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
But as he walked into the gym, he apparently got the message.
According to Goodman, James was not allowed to wear his Cavs gear during his morning workout.
Instead, James, wearing a dark leather jacket with a white collar and a white stripe on the back, took off his shoes and sat down on the bench, wearing what appears to be a white leather backpack.
James said he was not “disappointed” with the workout, and he explained his frustration in a tweet.
“I’ve always been a team player,” James said in a text message to Goodman.
“I’m just frustrated because I don’t get the opportunity to show my true colors.
I was asked to come here.
I didn’t go.
I respect the guys on this team. “
What I did, as a team, I’m a leader.
I respect the guys on this team.
I’m going to make sure that the fans and the players are treated the same.
I just want to show the world what I can do.
I’ll get back to you when I can.”
The Cavs have been in a losing streak that started in March.
After winning just seven of their last 11 games, Cleveland has lost five of its last six.
