It’s hard to find a more perfect way to kick off the year than by making your first foray into the world of cinema, and this year, director Avi Lewis has created his own movie.
Noah was a masterful work of literature that’s been compared to Oscar-winning short story writers like Joyce Carol Oates, but the film that made Lewis the frontrunner for the 2015 Hugo Award is a story of an American teen who leaves home to pursue a career in filmmaking.
In the story, Noah and his friends go to film school and eventually decide to make a film that will take them into the film industry.
As they go through a series of trials and tribulations, Noah learns about the film business through the story of Noah and the film studio.

The film is set in Los Angeles in 2019, and it stars Noah and four friends.
It premiered in a few cities this year including New York and Toronto, and will premiere at a handful more theaters in the coming weeks.
This summer, Lewis, a veteran of the Academy Awards, was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, but he was ultimately shortlisted by the Writers Guild of America.
He is a master of the storytelling technique known as “the arc,” which involves taking the story as it unfolds, finding the best angles, and then finding the middle ground between those angles.
This year, he took a similar approach in the story “The Way You Look Tonight,” starring Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence and is a classic example of the arc, where the film explores the relationship between the characters.
Lewis told The New York Times he’s been impressed with Lawrence’s ability to create an “uncompromisingly realistic portrayal of a woman whose life is a struggle.”
“It’s an extraordinary piece of work, a work that’s really beautifully executed, and that I’ve had to learn how to do a lot of things with,” Lewis said.
“I’ve done a lot with this movie, and I’m really glad that it’s coming out.”
Actors Noah and Emily Watson in “The Last Waltz.”
Lewis said he spent more time with the script than with any other actor, but that “everyone is working very closely together.
I have an absolute love for Emily Watson.
She’s a fantastic director and a wonderful actor.”
In addition to being the best storyteller in the field, Lewis has worked with his cinematographer Adam McKay on a number of projects, including “The Martian” and “The Revenant.”
The film will be released in 2018, but Lewis has already begun to work on the next phase of his career, which is to direct “A Very Good Woman,” his film about the life of Gloria Steinem.
